Mer om Sound of Hope:
Sound of Hope (traditional Chinese: 希望之聲,; simplified Chinese: 希望之声,; pinyin: Xīwàng Zhīshēng,; Wade-Giles: Hsi-wang Chi-sheng) is an independent non-profit news and entertainment broadcast service linked with Falun Gong. It originated in Mandarin, and currently offers programs in Chinese, English, French, Spanish, Vietnamese, and Korean. It is part of the Epoch Media Group along with New Tang Dynasty Television Station (NTDTV) and The Epoch Times.
It was the last of the three media to be established, beginning operations in June, 2003, supported by a network of volunteers that continue to maintain the station’s programming. All three Epoch Group members were founded by Falun Gong members. Some have recognized the important role this continues to play in determining editorial stance. Sound of Hope, along with NTDTV and Epoch Times, are listed as Falun Gong affiliated media in a US Congressional report on Falun Gong and China[1].
