Hi again,

I was just wondering if you could please tell Ralph from Exemplus, that I got his voicemail, about the new meeting-time, on 10/4 at 10 AM.
Since he didn't leave a phone-number in the voicemail.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Yours sincerely,

Erik Ribsskog

Hi,

I've thought more about this.
Almost no Norwegians speak Finish.
It's true we have a border with Finland.
But it's in the North, (in the arctic), where very few people live.

The Norwegian county bordering Finland is called Finnmark, (which means Finnish border), and is the Norwegian county with least citizens.
It's also the largest county, in area.

So Finnmark is a bit like Greenland, perhaps.
It's in the arctic, and few people live there.
So few Norwegians speak Finish.
I'm from the south of Norwegian, where almost no people speak Finish.

Almost no companies try to hire Norweigan and Finnish speakers.
Since there are very few of them.
It's like a company would try to hire, and advertise for Welsh and Portuguise speakers.

How many would reply then?

That's the same with Norwegian and Finnish speakers.

They are as few as Welsh and Portuguise speakers.
More or less, I guess, at least.

That's why I don't think it's relevant if I speak Finnish.

Hope I managed to explain a bit more about this now.
Best regards,

Erik Ribsskog

Hi,

I just wanted to send an update, with some feed-back, about todays meeting, at Ingeus, in Liverpool, with your collegue Mark there.
In the meeting he made a point of that I'd been on the Work Programme since July.

And then he didn't finish it.
But what did he mean?
Did he mean that I don't have skills, because I have a degree in IT and have worked as a Shop Manager and am on Ladders, (where you have to have an income-potential, on £50.000 a year).

Or does he mean that I'm not that good on job-seeking?
I admit that job-seeking isn't one of my key skills.
But this is your field.
And also it's the highest unemployment in the UK, for 20 years, (this is well known from the news).

I don't think that's a reason for being inpolite.
It's like he says it's something wrong with me, with is an insult, I think.
And yourselves, you picked at me, in July, since I don't speak Finnish.

But is this Finland?
How relevant is it that I don't speak Finish?

Do I have to speak every language in the world to work in the UK?

Or are you just picking on me because I'm from Norway, or something.

If you didn't know, Norway pay the EU many billion Euro every years, so that Norway can be in the EEA, so that it's citizens can work in the EU.
So I don't think it's right that I should get insults like this.

I do my job-search every week, and have sign-on-meetings at the Jobcentre every forthnight, where I show them that I've done my job-seeking, every week.
And they have always accepted my job-seeking.

So I don't see the reason for the insult.
Could you please explain.
There aren't that many top-jobs, here in the North-West, I think, but I also apply for top-jobs, (like one can see in the e-mail I forwarded earlier today), in London, etc.

I wonder if I should be in direction or higher management.
I have worked as a Shop Manager and have a degree in IT.
So I'm high up, in two different fields.
Management and IT.
So I have cross-competence.
Where should I look for director-jobs?

This I don't know.

Maybe you could give me some advice about this.

Just some constructive feed-back I hope.
Best regards,

Erik Ribsskog

Hi,

thanks for your e-mail!
I'm a bit low on mobile-credit, but I'll try to call you later today from Ingeus.
I live in the north-west but I could commute by train, if I could get help from Ingeus with the train-tickets.

Could start right away!
I'll try to call you after noon from Ingeus, since I'm going to a meeting there now.
Hope this is alright!

Best regards,

Erik Ribsskog
