    Hi,

thank you very much for the membership-package, that I received in the post today!
I was a student, on the third year, bachelor, Computing, in 2004/05, on study abroad.

But I had some problems, with the study-loan bank, in Norway, but I got a foundation degree, from my home university, last year.
I also have an employement-case, against Bertelsmann Arvato's Microsoft Scandinavian Product Activation, here in Liverpool:

I was wondering if you think you could please ask the Law-department, at the University, if they could please help me with my employment-case, as a pro bono-case, since I can't find any law firms, who can help me.

(I was very badly treated there, and they used illigal management methods, called reinforement there, and more, please see link).
Just something I thought about, when I received your membership-package today.

I'll also forward you a copy of my problems with the University and more, from 2005, which I've recently sent to the Students Union, at the university.
Hope this is alright, and thank you very much, for any help, in advance!

    Best regards,
    Erik Ribsskog

    Hi,

I studied at the University of Sunderland, in 2004/05, at the Study abroad programme, and at Bachelor Computing.
My home university, Oslo University College, and the study-loan bank, (Lånekassa), in Norway, were 'messing' with me, so I got the study-loan, four months late, in January 2005.

So I had ran out of money, in the months before this, and I lost focus of my studies due to this, and my sister, Pia Ribsskog, and her friend from Norway, and their two children insisted on visiting me, at the Forge, the whole Christimas and New Year-holiday, 2004, so I couldn't get any work done, on my Final Year Module-project, since my sister and her friends kids, always used my computer, at my room, so I had to sit in the lounge, instead of working on my Final Year Project.

So in the end, I was so lagged, with my studies, that I found out, I had no chance of getting all of the modules done, on time.
So I choose to try to find a job, in London, in stead.

After the University, said me and my flat-mates, (two female students from Italy and Spain, Federica Mauro and Rosario Gonzales, I think their names were), had to move, to another flat, at the Forge, at the beginning of February 2005.

I thought that sounded stress-ful, (since I remembered how it was, in the first flat, with conflicts and lot's of energy and time, to get to know, and deal with, each others quirky sides, or what it's called).

Also, the alarm, in our part of the Forge, was started, by some students, on the upper floors, I think, more or less every night, for weeks.
So I also have a complaint against the University, for the alarm, and that we had to move etc.

Also, I wanted to have my own appartment, when I got to Sunderland, but I had to live at the Forge, even if I was 34 years old, at the time.
After I found a job, in Liverpool, in 2005, I've contacted the University, and try to get a payment-arrangement set up.

I've sent a form about this, to the University.
    But they haven't replied.
Also, I got the best score, on the initial English-test, for study abroad students.
But, the university don't want to send a document, with my grade on it, on the English-test.
Even if that would be an advantage, I think, if I wanted to show I had language-skills.

Also, the University don't want to send a statement showing the grades I had, on the test I had in modules like E-commerce, etc.
The University don't want to send me anything at all, showing that I studied there.

So I was wondering if it was anything you could do about this?
Since I've contacted a lot of people working at the University, with no result.
I have a USSU Gold-membership, from 2004/05 with you, FullTime, Year 3, Study abroad programme, member number: 13054.

Hope you can please give me some help with this!
Would have been fun to have the result of the inital English-test, showing that I got the best grade, (A or 1, or what it was again).

I also was at your club, a few times, at the new campus, and I was a lot of the sports centre, to relax from the problems with the study loan being delayed, etc.
Hope you have the chance to have a look at this!

    Best regards,
    Erik Ribsskog

I can't see that I've recieved an answer to this e-mail.
Would it be easier for you, to please send me a copy of my files, if I try to do this, through the student union, which I was a member of, when I studied at the university?

    Hi,

yes, I agree that my tone maybe wasn't fine, but I'm from Norway, so I'm not so into the tone in the UK eighter, and thought he was pulling my leg, since he spoke about high-school grades.

    But I apologise for this!
I think this sounds strange, that you don't keep test-results on file, and that you haven't got any files from my other tests in your archives.
Like I wrote as an example, what if an employee in a job-interview wants to know why one didn't have the language-module on the university, since this is normal for study abroad students.
Then one would have wanted a documentation of that one got the best grade, to document this, as to explain why one didn't take the language-module.
I don't buy your explanation, what if I wanted to document why I didn't follow an English-module as a Study Abroad student?

I think you should keep test-results like that, and I think it's strange that you as an academic University don't reason like that yourselves.
Are you sure that you aren't just pulling my leg, (again)?

    Yours sincerely,
    Erik Ribsskog

    Dear Erik

I have been informed that you have been in communication with Les Brown on this matter and he confirms that he has advised you of the following:

"the student (Erik) took a diagnostic test to determine if he needed to do EAP. The diagnostic test determined that he did not need to do it. Since then he has requested a copy of this mark but we have told him that marks from the diagnostic test are not recoded in our systems as this is not a formal University assessment.

After a number of emails I talked to him on the phone and explained the situation. I also asked why he wanted the results and explained to him that if he wanted to prove to employers his level of English he should quote them his results which he obtained from his studies in Norway. I also explained that these results are also used by UK Universities."

Les has also informed me that he has concerns over the tone and language used in you final email response to him which I believe was unnecessary and inappropriate.

I would therefore ask that you accept the information provided as accurate and that we consider the matter closed. We will of course keep all correspondence on file should we need to refer to it in the future

    yours sincerely

    Hi,

the reason I'm contacting you is because I'm trying to get hold of test-results, from when I studied at the University of Sunderland, in 2004/05.

There was a test I took, in 2004, to determine, if I needed to take the module 'English for academic purposes'.

They tell me that they haven't kept the test-results.

I got the best grade, so I didn't take this module, (since study-abroad students didn't have to take this module if they got the best grade).

In job-interviews it could be imagined that employers would ask why one didn't take the language-course.

Therefore, I think it's strange that results aren't kept, since people would want to document the reason for why they didn't have to take the language course.

I got a bit upset at Mr. Brown, since he said high school grades in English in Norway should document this, since I think he must have been pulling my leg a bit, since high school level skills in English from Norway, wouldn't be good enough to study at a English university.

I think Mr. Brown should be serious in his work, and don't make up lots of non-sense, so I also wanted to complain about his jokes or non-sense, I think I have to call it.

I also have test-results from a module call E-Commerce, that I would have wanted, but noone can find at the University, unfortunatly.

Hope that you can have a look at this, and perhaps sort some of this up!

Thanks in advance for any help!

    Yours sincerely,

    Erik Ribsskog

    Hei,

    Men _ingen_ hjelper.

    PS 3.

Kanskje enda penere i ansiktet.

    http://www.side2.no/underholdning/article2909405.ece

    PS.

    Men men).

    Men men.

    Men men).

    Men men).

    Bare noe jeg kom på.

    Men men.

    Men men.

    Bare noe jeg kom på.

    Hi,

sorry that this has taken some time, but I've got a bit of different advice, from LSC etc., so it has unfortunatly taken me some time to get the Legal Aid reference-number.

But I called Community Legal Advice, today, on 0845 345 4345, and spoke with two representatives there, about my employment-case, and was called back just now, and given a new reference-number, which should be 112 12 06.

Sorry again about the delay, and I hope to hear back from you about the employment-case against Bertelsmann Arvato (Microsoft Scandinavian Product Activtion).

    Hi,

I've called that number, to LSC, 0800 085 6643, a couple of times now, but it's busy.
I've earlier called LSC/CLA, and then I've been told to use their calculator, on the web, to find out if I'm eligable for legal aid.

And I've found out that I am, since I'm unemployed.
(I called after Mr. Mooney told me to do this).
So we're really past that stage.
I know I am eligable for legal aid, so I don't really understand why there should be a problem then.

Cant Stephenson get the reference-number from LSC then, or where should I call, Tom at CLA said it wasn't to do with them.
Thank you in advance for your reply!

So now I'm trying to call them, and I'm going to send an update later.

    Dear Mr Ribsskog,

For the avoidance of doubt, we are not declining you assistance.

To reiterate, I confirm that there is two stage process which much be completed before you can receive the benefit of legal aid.

Initially, you must be financially eligible for legal aid. Secondly, your claim must have sufficient prospects of success to justify pursuing it further.

In relation to your financial eligibility it is necessary for you to contact Community Legal Advice (CLA) and they will ask you a series of questions to determine your eligibility.

The number for CLA is the same number that has been previously provided, 0845 345 4345.

If the CLA confirm that you are financially eligible for legal aid then you will be provided with a reference number and referred to a law firm to assess the merits

of your claim. I must stress that I am not refusing to provide you with assistance, I am merely attempting to clarify that I cannot commence investigations until you receive a reference number and I

trust you will now contact CLA accordingly.

I therefore suggest you contact Community Legal Advice as directed on several occasions.

    Hi again,

I just remembered something more, sorry that I send two e-mails after eachother.

Is it that you don't want to help me, since I'm not a Brit, and don't know the legal-aid system by heart?

Then I can tell you, that Norway, where I'm from, are in the EEA.

And the UK has signed the EEA-agreement, and this means that I have the same rights, as if I was an EU or UK citizen, when I live in the UK.

I want you to please clearify why your company don't want to help me with my case.

    Hi,

that's not how I understand it.

The LSC said that Mr. Mooney, gave me the wrong directions.

And I don't like that your company don't want to help me, since it takes long time to get the reference-number, (due to some problems with the correspondence or errors from your company)

But I'll contact Ms. Beach then, and take it from there.

But please don't be to surprised if I send a complaint to the ones responsible for the legal aid solicitors database, about you company.

And now, Mr. Mooney doesn't want to correspond with me any longer, (due to the misunderstanding caused by the error).

I was wondering if there are any other solicitor, that could help me with my Legal Aid-case please?

    Hi,

now the solicitor doesn't want to correspond with me any longer, since his error, caused a misunderstanding.

I want to complain about three law firms, who hasn't acted professionally, after I've contacted them, asking them to represent me, in a legal aid-case.

Who is responsible for administrating the solicitors-database, for the legal aid-programme.

Is it you at the LSC or is it Community Legal Advice?

    Dear Mr Ribsskog,

You are correct the Legal Services Commission does administer legal aid

in England and Wales. We are made up of the Community Legal Service for

civil cases such as employment and the Criminal Defence Service. We fund

legal services on behalf of the government.

Community Legal Advice is funded by the LSC in order to provide an

initial free and confidential advice service. There are general and

specialist advisors who will determine the level of help you need and if

necessary sign post you to an appropriate supplier of legal services in

    your area, such as Stephensons.

From the emails below and as my colleague said earlier, we believe the

solicitor you were communicating with made an error in directing you to

us, the administrative body the LSC instead of the advice service.

It appears that Mr Thompson may have misunderstood your query as we do

not usually receive referrals at this stage of a case. The LSC does deal

with individual cases if they progress to a certain level where you may

need to go to court. We are responsible for administering the use of

public funds to fund a case. This would be communicated to us by a

solicitor once you get to that stage.

We apologise for the confusion. We do have a service than can help you

and you can call them on 0845 345 4 345 or you can find out more by

    visiting the website

    http://www.communitylegaladvice.org.uk/
    . There is a

useful call back and text service available as well, ( see the website

    for details.)

We cannot help you any further at this stage please direct your queries

to Community Legal Advice. There is also a function on the website to

find alternative solicitors in your area.

    Hi Hayley,

    that's brilliant!
I've been in contact with Merseyside Employment Law earlier, (last year or something), about this case, but they didn't reply then.
But I'll try to contact the others on the list.

In your phone-call, you said that Kelly in your Community Legal Advice customer support team, had been speaking with someone from Stephensons in Wigan, who had told you that they couldn't help me with the mentioned employment-case against Arvato's (Microsoft Scandinavian Product Activation-campaign).

But I was just wondering if it would be possible to know who at Stephensons in Wigan that your colleague has been speaking with there, since I haven't heard anything back from the law-firm, Stephensons, myself.

Thank you very much in advance for any help!
    Best regards,

You may also have to pay for legal advice. Check this with your adviser when you first call them as they should tell you about any charges. It is also worth checking your house/car/credit card insurance policies to see if they provide any cover for legal expenses.

If you have any special requirements, such as wheelchair access, please call the advisor to check they can accommodate these. You should also call ahead to check opening times, find out whether they are likely to be able to help you and, if possible, to make an appointment. Hi,

sorry that this has taken some time, but I've got a bit of different advice, from LSC etc., so it has unfortunatly taken me some time to get the Legal Aid reference-number.

    Yours sincerely,

    Erik Ribsskog

    Yours sincerely,

    Hi,

I called CLA now, on 0845 345 4345, and spoke with Tom.
He says that they haven't got anything to do with eligability for Legal aid, then I have to call LSC on 0800 085 6643.

And I don't like that your company don't want to help me, since it takes long time to get the reference-number, (due to some problems with the correspondence or errors from your company)

The use of Negative Reinforcement, on Bertelsmann Arvato’s Microsoft Scandinavian Product Activation

    ms.editor@wharton.upenn.edu

    Hi,

I have a degree in IT, and has also studied business and IT, on university-level, so I'm used with having an academic approach, to problem-solving on work, etc.
I worked as a manger, in one of the biggest Norwegian supermarket-chains, Rimi, in Oslo, for ten years.

Then I had to move to the UK, (since I'd overheard I was followed, in Oslo, by some 'mafian', even if I've been a criminal).
I got a job, working on behalf of Microsoft, on Bertelsmann Arvato's Microsoft Scandinavian Product Activation, when I discovered, in a meeting with one of the managers there, that they used (negative) reinforcement, to control the employees.

(Like if they were dogs, etc).
Then I used the academic approach, that I've learned on NHI/(now NITH), in Oslo, on Oslo University College, and on University of Sunderland, and I used knowledge, acquired on courses, with Rimi (Hakon-gruppen, now ICA), in practical management.

I've published about my findings in this link:

I think this practice, with controlling the employees, with negative reinforcement, isn't in line with what I learned at business-school, on university college and in courses, in Norway, so I've tried to whistleblow about what I've found.

I was wondering if you are interested in writing about my employment-case, against Bertelsmann Arvato LTD's Microsoft Scandinavian Product Activation, or if you think I could try to write an article for reviewing, by your journal?

I just thought I'd check if you are interested in this empoyment-case, and what I've found.
Thank you very much in advance, for any reply!
    Yours sincerely,

    Erik Ribsskog

Like some of the videoes and the posts, that I've posted, had been on this page, for around a year.

And then to delete it, that I think seems strange.

If you are to delete posts etc., then I think you should delete it at once, and not a year later.Vis mer

My apologies for not answering your posts.. I am not in here very often, very seldom infact. So when I saw some of your posts and videos, I realized that I might get sued, and decided to delete them. As I said I don´t mind people bitching about arvato. Your posts however was a bit over the top. I don´t know your age or if you had any other work experience in Britain. I did, and Arvato is not that bad for a british company. Try working on other campaigns than Microsoft, the people there work a lot harder.

Ok, I think if you administer the group then perhaps you should go in here more often than once a years, since some of the posts you deleted had been here for more than one year.

I haven't been working in the UK earlier, but the way MSPA was managed was described as 'bullying', by a British manager on the BBC message-board:
