    Team,
The Senate runoffs are 2 weeks away.
To be blunt, legislation like more COVID-19 relief and the BREATHE Act are all off the table if Jon Ossoff and Rev. Warnock lose this election.
That’s why we’ve been working tirelessly to ensure that they get elected — because we’ve seen what Congress looks like with Mitch McConnell in charge. Our communities cannot survive another session with Mitch McConnell as Senate majority leader — and now, we need all hands on deck to reach voters in Georgia and get them to the polls.
We’ve got lots of opportunities to volunteer but we want to lift up the two most important ones: Our HBCU Reach Parties and our phone banks every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Can we count on you to sign up for at least 1 shift?
Yes! Count me in for the HBCU Reach Party to activate HBCU voters.
Yes! I’ll phone bank Georgia voters.
Sorry, I can’t volunteer, but I’ll pitch in to help fuel get-out-the-vote efforts.
Between phone banks, fundraisers, and countless get-out-the-vote events, we have a ton of volunteer shifts, but we need help to fill them.
If we’re going to increase voter turnout the way we did in November, we have to work twice as hard for the runoffs happening in 2 weeks. Early voting is already underway, and most folks have already gotten their mail-in ballots. Now, it’s up to us to remind voters what’s at stake this election and why it’s so critical to elect Jon Ossoff and Rev. Warnock to the Senate.
We can’t do this without your help, team. Please sign up for one of these critical events this week >>
Votecoming HBCUs for Georgia presented by WFP & BLM
HBCU Reach Party — count me in!

    ERIKA,
In November, Georgia emerged from a safe red state to a key battleground state (that has flipped blue for the first time in over 28 years!)
We’re at a point where the stakes couldn’t be higher. Together, we’ve fueled a movement that came from a hashtag to becoming the largest social justice movement in history. Black Lives Matter was a topic at the 2020 presidential debate stage. And thanks to you, we’ve launched our PAC in order to take our protest to the polls.
Clearly, we’re succeeding. But we only succeed in numbers, ERIKA. And now, we’ve got to keep the momentum going for the runoffs in Georgia and get Rev. Warnock and Jon Ossoff elected to the U.S. Senate so we can put an end to Mitch McConnell’s inhumanity in the Senate.
We proved in November that it is through collective organizing and reaching out to voters that we can deliver victories, and in January we will prove this to be true again.
We’re doing all we can to reach as many voters as possible — but we need your help to fuel our voter outreach efforts. We budgeted $500,000 for our efforts, and have raised $300,881 so far. Can you chip in today and help reach this critical goal?

Black Lives Matter PAC is invested in the Georgia runoff elections because we’ve seen what happens when Republicans hold the majority — the rushing of putting a dangerous, Trump-aiding person on the highest court of the land. The blatant dismissal of the millions of folks who’ve lost their jobs and their lives amidst the deadly pandemic.
It’s not difficult to understand that our communities simply will not survive another two years of Mitch McConnell and the Republicans holding power in the Senate.
We flipped Georgia for the presidency in November, and we can do it again for the Senate — but that means putting all of our resources together with the help of folks like you from all over the country.
Our work in these Senate runoff elections needs all the help we can get. Can you chip in today to help our efforts in keeping Georgia blue?

    ERIKA,
What are you doing tomorrow from 1-3 p.m. ET? Can you help text voters in Georgia and urge them to turn out for the runoff on January 5th?
    I’M IN
We’ve got less than three weeks left to reach as many Georgians as possible. And with voter suppression attempts ramping up, we can only expect for this to persist throughout the entire state.
They can (and will) try hard to suppress our vote — but we won’t let them. And we will fight to ensure that voices are heard in the runoffs in January.
Help reach out to voters in GA tomorrow. It’s fun, easy, and to be blunt — it’s ultimately one of the most powerful ways that you can help protect democracy, since the next few years are relying on the outcome of this election. Sign up now >>
Our movement helped to deliver record turnout in the general election, and we’re ready to deliver once again in the Georgia runoff on January 5th — but we need your help to turn out as many voters as possible. Sign up for the texting party tomorrow!

Team, we’re inching closer and closer to the finish line.
The Georgia runoff is on the horizon, and we need your support now more than ever.
We’ve come too far in our electoral and political efforts to risk Mitch McConnell holding onto his power in the Senate. We’ve come too far to lose sight of the legislation that could directly benefit our communities. And we’ve come too far in this fight to lose it all on January 5th.
This is no ordinary election, and the stakes are too high.
We’ve been working around-the-clock to ensure we can flip Georgia blue for the second time. How this election goes will be the determining factor in the decisions being made in the Senate when Trump (finally) leaves office. Decisions that’ll impact Black folks for decades to come.
Team, we cannot afford to lose. We need to reach as many folks as possible to remind them about what’s at stake. Will you please rush a donation of $5 or more to help fund our voter outreach efforts?

Black people handed the victory to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in Georgia. Black people single-handedly saved this democracy. Despite the obstacles of voter suppression, we’ve proven time and again that we show up. Black folks turn out in record numbers, and our presence will make all the difference in January, as it did in November.
To be fully transparent: In order to win elections, we need to raise money. We are gearing up for our next set of voter outreach efforts, along with a huge ad buy — and how big we can go depends on how much we raise.
Right now, we’re coming up short on our Georgia runoff goal. Every little bit will help us close that gap. So, team, will you help raise the funds we need for our next ad buy and voter outreach efforts in support of Jon Ossoff and Rev. Warnock?
    DONATE
It’s been a long time coming, and for so long, November 3rd was the finish line. While we couldn’t have predicted that the Georgia Senate results would ultimately lead to a runoff, it’s even more of a reminder that still, our work is not done, and our work will not be done until Black Lives Matter.
These next few weeks are going to be as intense as they were leading up to Election Day in November. As we gear up for our latest ad buy, that’s not all we’re doing. We’re going to be making calls to voters in Georgia, texting folks to remind them about what’s at stake, and partnering with groups like the Working Families Party to continue the grassroots efforts that’ll bring us victory in January. And we’re on the ground in Georgia coordinating with an amazing team of grassroots organizations and organizers who have been doing the work for decades to make these runoffs even possible.
This work is only possible because folks around the country have stepped up and chipped in whatever they can to power the organizing, to support the volunteers, and get our ads in front of voters.
But we’re halfway through December, and we’re running short. Team, please chip in today so these next four years are different than the last.

    Team,
Voter suppression has always been used as a weapon against Black and brown folks across the country. Right now in Georgia, voter suppression is blatantly happening right in front of us ahead of the runoff election in January.
Cobb County has reportedly decided to cut half of its early voting sites for the runoff. The early voting sites that are closing are in predominantly Black and brown neighborhoods and where public transportation isn’t as accessible as other towns. Cobb county is the 3rd largest county in Georgia, and this decision is no coincidence.
Groups like the NAACP Legal Defense Fund and Black Voters Matter have already sent a letter to Cobb County Board of Commissioners, and right now, Black Lives Matter PAC is building major GOTV events so that we can ensure our folks in Cobb County will have their voices heard despite these blatant efforts to suppress the vote.
Can you rush a donation of $5 or more to combat voter suppression and help with one of our biggest GOTV missions of the January runoff? We need to raise $75,000 today to cover the extra expenses.

During early voting for the general election, voters in Cobb County were faced with long lines for periods of 5 to 10 hours. This is a form of voter suppression within itself. If folks in Cobb County were waiting this long with twice as many early voting sites, imagine what’ll happen without those sites.
It was much of Cobb County that helped to elect Joe Biden, flipping Georgia blue for the first time in nearly 30 years. Again, we have to recognize that this type of switch-up is not a coincidence.
Voter suppression doesn’t just happen — it’s strategic, and it’s planned. The move to eliminate half of early voting locations in the 3rd most populated GA county that are majority Black and brown communities didn’t just happen — this was strategically planned.
We will not stand by and watch Cobb County blatantly suppress the vote. If we work together, we will make sure that our folks in Cobb County will have their voices heard.
But we need to raise $75,000 today to pay for our new GOTV work in Cobb County. Will you chip in a donation to help fuel our efforts to combat this voter suppression?

    Hei,

Subject: [RETWEET] Tell Biden-Harris to stop ignoring BLM requests for a meeting
    To: <eribsskog+supergay@gmail.com>
    Team,
On the night of the Biden/Harris victory, Black Lives Matter sent a letter requesting a meeting with our newly elected President and Vice-President. And on Tuesday, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris met with several civil rights leaders and groups.
    …But we weren’t invited.
For the newly elected administration (that ran on promises of racial justice) to ignore our ongoing request to meet with them and refuse us a seat at the table is demeaning to our movement. It’s demeaning to our hurt and trauma. It’s demeaning to the countless times we took our protest to the streets to call for justice for our Black brothers and sisters taken from us at the hands of police.
This is also a blatant disregard of the millions of Black organizers and voters who handed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris their electoral victory.
We deserve a seat at the table. And the 64,000 people and counting want us there, too.
We need to make it clear we won’t be ignored. Please help amplify our demands on Twitter!
BLM on Twitter: The night of their victory, we sent @joebiden and @kamalaharris a letter requesting a meeting. It has now been 32 days and we have yet to receive a response. To set up a meeting with civil rights leaders, without BLM, is unacceptable.

Black Lives Matter is leading the largest global social justice movement in history, and to ignore us — including the 64,000 of you that signed the petition demanding a meeting — is to ignore our generation’s most pressing demands for transformative justice toward Black liberation.
The Civil Rights Movement of the 21st century involves Black Lives Matter, without question.
To Joe Biden and Kamala Harris: We are watching, we are waiting…and we’re tired of waiting.
Let them know you’re tired of waiting too, team. Amplify our message to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris on Twitter.
