    Hi Danielle,

thank you very much for the advice, I'll try to contact them.
Sorry that I didn't go to the meetings any more, but I thought I didn't need to go there every week, with the job-search and with the CV, since I thought that there must be people who needs this help more than me, so I shouldn't take up the place for them.

But I'll try to contact the JET-organisation.
Thank you very much for the advice again!
    Best regards,

    Hi,

I called Working Links now, and was told, that you are the manager there, and got your e-mail address.
I go to meetings with you weekly, and I've got a lot of help, but I think that Danielle is a bit unacurate sometimes, and writes the year wrong, and things like that, on applications.

Like the CV she wrote me, she didn't put on that I've worked as self-employed, in 2007 and 2008, so people I send the CV to, thinks, that I haven't been working since 2006.
I've tried to bring this up, in an e-mail to her, last week, but in the meeting, on Wednesday, she didn't do anything about this.

(Because I haven't got Word at home, since it didn't come with my laptop, so I haven't been able to edit this myself).
I just wanted to send an e-mail about this, since I think this is a bit strange.

    Yours sincerely,
    Erik Ribsskog

just so to summarise my call to you just now.
I have been working in management, for ten years, like it says on my CV, so I'm an experienced administrator as part of that job.

I've also been working as self-employed, as a company researcher, from March 2007 to November 2008, on behalf of a company in Norwich, Packaging Europe.
(It's Danielle at Working Links, who has helped me with the CV, and she forgot to put that on, but I'm going to get Word, the computer-programme, and update the CV).

I sent a complaint to the University of Sunderland, since I've experienced extremly poor customer-support, from them, when I've contacted them.
I also explained the problems today, when you called them, and was just transfered from department to department.

    Hope this was alright!

    To: peter.fidler@sunderland.ac.uk

    Hi,

I've experienced some extremly poor customer-support when I've contacted the university as a former student.
    Here are some examples:

    – When I contacted the Student records department, on the phone, last year, I was told that they couldn't find my file. I had to travel by train to Sunderland, to Liverpool, to get my student-number, (049039692), in the Gateway, at the City campus.

    – I sent an e-mail, (which is forwarded with this e-mail), to the Gateway, on 27/7, and a reminder on 10/8, but I didn't get any answer from the Gateway.
    – I then contacted Joy Taylor, (who I got the e-mail address to, when I traveled to Sunderland, and went to the Gateway there, earlier this year), and asked her who was responsible for the Gateway. She just wrote that she didn't know, and didn't bother finding this information.

    – Today I was at Working Links, here in Liverpool, and Danielle there, tried to contact the University about my file from the English-test etc., (which I got the best result on), but she was just transfered from department to department.

So I'm wondering if you have problems with 'mob', at the University, that are messing with the Study Abroad-students?
I hope you have the chance to sort these problems, since I think a university, shouldn't treat people as bad as this.

    Yours sincerely,

this year, regarding some problems when I called to the University,

last year, when they couldn't find me on the computer-system there,

and I've also been in contact with you, on e-mail, after that.

Now, the problem is, that the Gateway isn't answering my

    e-mails.

I'm trying to get hold of a file, showing that I got the best

result, on the initial language-test, in English, that students from

abroad, have to take, at the begining of the Study Abroad year.

Since I think that a file like this, would be fine to have, when

applying for jobs, in the UK etc.

So I hoped that you could please help me with the problem, with

    Hi,

I studied at the University of Sunderland in 2004 and 2005, on

    the study

    abroad programme.

I had some problems with my study-finance from Norway, so I

    had to end

my studies before I got my degree, due to the problems with this,

    and with

my home university not wanting to accept the modules I'd chosen,

    for some

    reason.

But, I think it looks a bit stupid, not to have any files from

    when I studied

in Sunderland, so I thought that perhaps I could try to get a

    file with the

result of my English-test, that all study abroad students had to

    take,

where I got the best result, so that I didn't have to take

    English courses.

That file would have been very fine to have.

So I was wondering if you know who I should contact then,

    that has to do

with files like this, at the Language-study department.

Thanks in advance for the help!

    Yours sincerely,

    Hi Danielle,

the DVLA says that I can use my Norwegian drivers-licence, as a full UK drivers-licence,

since Norway are in the EEA, European Economic Area, which is an agreement, between

    Dear Mr Ribsskog

Thank you for your email received on 20/7/09. Your email reference number is 54158.

I  am not able to send a copy of the letter sent in 2007 but I trust the following will be helpful.

As of 01/1/97, you are no longer required to exchange a valid EC/EEA licence for a GB licence, providing you have passed a test in an EC/EEA country.

You are entitled to drive here on the strength of your valid EC/EEA driving licence as long as the licence remains valid up until the day preceding your 70th birthday or for 3 years after becoming resident here which ever is the longer period.

However, if you wish to exchange your licence, please ask at your main Post Office for a D1 application form and return the form to DVLA with your licence and the relevant enclosures. A fee of £50.00 is required with your application.

The EC/EEA licence will be returned to the Licensing Authorities from where it was issued.

Important Note: If your EC/EEA licence was issued in exchange for one from another country, this may be valid for driving in GB for only 12 months and you may not be able to exchange it for the GB equivalent.

Holders of community licences with vocational entitlements who live in GB must, by law register their details within DVLA.

Drivers of small vehicles may register also, if they wish. Drivers who register will receive their licence back together with a UK counterpart licence. This would enable them to take advantage of the fixed penalty system for road traffic offences instead of having to go to court.

Please see D100 information leaflet available from any main Post Office for further information.

    Details:

    Hi,
in 2007, I sent you a photocopy, of my Norwegian drivers-license.
But, I was told, that I had to send you the original driving-license, and not the photo-copy.
I didn't really have a car or anything, at that time, so I didn't want to send my drivers-licence, in the post, in case it got lost.
So, I've waited, with geting back to you, until now, when I've been at Working Links, here in Liverpool, to do with, that I am now seeking new employment, in the computing-sector.
And then, it's an advantage, to have a UK drivers-licence.
So I was wondering, how I should go forward now, to uptain a UK drivers-licence.
You sent me a letter, a couple of years ago, so I was wondering if you could please send me a new copy, of this letter, since I've unfortunatly didn't have the time, to respond properly to your letter, in 2007, since I got a new job, as self-employed, working as a Company Researcher, from home, and then I didn't really need a drivers-licence, since I also live in the city center, so I didn't get to sort this then, since I was very preoccupied, with my new job as self-employed then.
So I was hoping that you could please send me a new copy of your letter, from 2007, since I couldn't find this now.
So that I can go on, with this, to uptain a UK drivers-licence.
Hope this is alright, and sorry about the delay!
    Yours sincerely,
    Erik Ribsskog

    Hi,

thank you very much, for all the fine advice, in the meeting today!
Here's the link to the employment-case I have, against Arvato, that I mentioned
    in the meeting today:

(This file, explains a lot about the initial problems there, by the way:
And here are the phone-numbers I mentioned, to the University-colleges, HiO and NITH, who don't want to
send me a degree, in Oslo:
    HiO. +47 22 45 20 00

    NITH: +47 22 05 99 99
(I also have tried to call, to the University of Sunderland, to try to get them, to send me some copies of
my language-test result, and some files, from my Final Year Project there, but I haven't managed to get

this sorted yet, but I can speak more with you, about this, in the next meeting).
I'm also enclosing a copy of my earlier CV, like we agreed on, in the meeting today, where all my

work-experience, should be listed, also the the work-experience, from before 1996, that isn't listed
    on the new CV.
I'll also forward you copies of the application e-mails, later, if it's alright, so that you can see, if you think

I write them right, or not, if that's ok.
Hope this is alright, and thanks again for all the advice in the meeting!
    Yours sincerely,
    Erik Ribsskog
