    Hi,

I was at Jet job-bank today, and spoke with Mr. Carlos Pineda, Guidance Officer, Adult Learning Service, Ethnic Minority Employabilitiy Project.
    We discussed my complaint.

And I explained that the Jobcentre gave me grief, because they say that my degree from Norway, is at level 4, while Jet and Direct Gov say it's at level 5.
So we agreed I'd contact Naric, about this, (and to see if my grades from two University Colleges in Norway are enough to get a Bachelor Degree, etc).

I appolised for that I think I perhaps over-reacted a bit in my compaint.
It's just that I'm a bit stressed from being un-employed, and the Jobcentre are giving me a bit grief regarding this and other issues.

So we agreed that this complaint was now solved, with the new information I got the meeting today.
Thank you very much for your help with finding out which level my degrees from Norway are!

    Best regards,

    Erik Ribsskog

    Hi,

I was sent by Gill, from JET in Walton, to Jet employability team, last month.

They didn't want to transfer my degree, to a UK degree, so I now strugle, when I apply for work, and the Jobcentre says I'm at level 4, when I'm really at level 5 or 6.

I think I really have a level 6, (bachelor), degree.
But Jet Employability Team, didn't want to look at my files thorowly, but were almost hostile, I think, (maybe because I'm white, since all of the people in that office were coloured).

And they didn't want to transfer my degrees from Upper Secondary School eighter.
They only wanted to look at one file, and that was it.
But I also have a file from another University College, where I almost got a degree.

    So I think this really-really is like a Bachelor-degree.

But I don't think the person at Jet employability team, seemed qualified to judge this.

It seemed like he had enough with finding Norway on the screen.

Is it any way I could get this looked at properly?
    Best regards,
    Erik Ribsskog

    Hi,

sorry that I'm sending this many e-mails.

But you see, I'm from Norway, so I'm not used with 'fancy' sections on the CV, called things like 'Personal Profile', and 'Skills'.

So it could be that I get my CV a bit wrong now.
And the Jobcentre, Working Links etc., they tell me things like to have those sections, and that the CV shouldn't be more than two pages, and to only write work-experience from the last 10-15 years.

So I've changed the CV a lot of times now.
But I think it's maybe best for me, to just have a very basic style of CV, like I've learned in Norway.
Since CV really means Curriculum Vitea, which means a description of how one have lived ones life.

    As far as I understand.
So really, I'm not sure if the 'fancy' sections should be on the CV, originally.
And to cut out pieses of one's work-experience, on one's CV, isn't really true to the original nature of a CV, which means a descripiton of what one have done, in one's life.

So I think the Jobcentre, and Working-links are a bit silly, perhaps.
But you have given me valueable feed-back.
Thank you very much for the feed-back!

    Hi,

well, I've studied IT for four and a half years at university-level, so I think I have some skills.

I've also worked with system development, in 1993, even if maybe that isn't on my CV, since it's many years ago.

But thank you anyway for your reply.

    Hi,

I read about this vacancy, on the Jobcentre Plus website.

I have a degree from Norway, in IT, from 2009, which is comparable with a Higher National Diploma, here in the UK, and I've also studied Information Management, at university-level in Norway, for two years, in addition to this.

I also have degrees from Upper Secondary Business-school, in Norway, in Basic Commerce and Office-work, Marketing and Information Management, which are comparable with National Diplomas here.

I've also worked as a manager, in Norway, for ten years, in one of Norways biggest food shop-chains, Rimi, (owned by ICA), so I'm used with working with management and customer support.

I attach my CV, and hope to hear back from you!

    Yours sincerely,

    Erik Ribsskog

    Hi,

I was a bit stressed, when I went to JET last year, because I was at the dentist, right before I went to your office.
What Working Links said, was that if I wanted to go to an IT course, with Liverpool Community College, then maybe JET could help me found the course, or send me to an organisation that could.

But I ended up a course in Food Hygiene and not IT.
This must have been because I had an ache in my tooth, so I was a bit stressed, in my initial meeting, unfortunatly, and since I had to go to the dentist every week, and I had a bad tooth-ache from this.

But now I was wondering about the IT-course.
Is it possible, like Working Links said, that Jet could help me found e.g. a course in Web-design, at Liverpool Community College?
Thank you very much in advance for any help!

    Yours sincerely,
    Erik Ribsskog

    Hi,

thank you very much for you e-mail!
But as I remember it, a Jet person-called, saying she was you, and just said a sentence, and then hang up.
About that I wanted to cancel the course.

But they just hang up, when I started asking about when the next course was.
I thought it was strange, that they would use your name.
Since I called up JET again, and then I got to hear, that the person that had called, (Lorraine), was on annual leave.

Also, this course was almost two months ago, (24. November), and I haven't received a certificate, or feedback from the test yet, even if I think must have gotten most of the answers right.

But my complaint is really that your staff shouldn't be ignorant while taking calls, like they were, in the first call, that JET called back to me, after I discovered, that my Landlord, was coming here, on the same date, as the JET-course.

So I think there's room for improvement, when it comes to manners, (with not being ignorant to what people are saying), with JET-staff, unfortunatly.
    Yours sincerely,

JET Atlantic so that you could gain the Basic

Food Hygiene qualification. The way our service works is by appointing a

dedicated officer at the most convenient office, in order to ensure continuity and

a better understanding of our clients and the best possible service.

A discretionary grant was arranged by your guidance officer,

Claire Walsh, in order to fund your place on the Food Hygiene course and you

were booked onto the course due to start on the 26th October. When you

called to cancel your attendance, you called and spoke to me at the JET in the Job

    Bank on Tunnel Road

where we deliver the courses. I thanked you for letting me know and took

your details and said a member of staff would contact you to inform you when

the next course was due to start and arrange to re-book your place.

As I mentioned when I spoke to you last week, I didn’t

call you after that, but my administrative officer, Joanne Quinn, at my

request, called to confirm that you were no longer attending the course and to

let you know that you would be informed when a further course was due to take

place. I am sorry if you felt that she hung up, but I am sure that this

wasn’t intentional, since she recorded the fact that you wished to attend

the next course, as I had informed her originally.

On several occasions early in November, staff called you to keep

you informed that we were still awaiting details of the next course and on 24th

November you successfully attended the course.

Because we dedicate officers to every registered client, as

a new client it was necessary for you to meet with your appointed guidance

officer, Claire Walsh, in order to confirm your place and grant funding for the

new course and update your details and support required. I am sorry if

this proved inconvenient, but one office holds all of your records for grant and

tracking purposes. However, if you wish to do job searches you can visit

any JET office in the city. If you wish to change your preferred JET

office and guidance officer to a more convenient location for you, this can be

    arranged.

I do hope that this serves as a satisfactory response to

your complaint and we can continue to work together to ensure that you are able

to pursue your desired career plan.

    Yours sincerely,

    Lorraine

    Hi,

I got a call from Neo today, about that you were going to put me on the next

course now, in 'Basic Food Hygiene'.

But I haven't got an answer, to my complaint with you, why did your

representative call me, on her holyday from work?

And why do one of your representatives tell me that I have to go to

Jet, to change the course-date, when your call today shows that this isn't

    right?

    Best regards,

    Hi,

I called on Tuesday, regarding a 'Basic Food Hygenie'-course, that Walton Jet

put me on, after I was sent to Jet, from Working Links.

I found out, when I got your letter, that the course crashed with

another appointment I have at 3 pm, on Monday.

So I called, and spoke with Lorraine.

She was going to get someone to call me back, since I wanted to be put on the

    next course.

Then she called me today, just to tell me that she took me off the

    list.

And then she hang up, without listening to what I was saying, that I wanted to

be put on the next course.

So then I called Jet up, and spoke with Kate, who told me that Lorraine was on annual

leave, and that I had to go to the Jet office, to re-sign on the next course.

    But why did Lorraine

call me, when she was on annual leave?

I've been having some problems with some communist-mob, or something, in Norway,

is this something to do with this?

Thanks in advance for help in advance, regarding finding out what's been going

    on!

    Yours sincerely,

    Erik Ribsskog

    Hi,

I think you twist things in you e-mail.
I understand that I have to go to Jet, to be put on a course.
But to be re-put on the next course, due to that I found out that I had another meeting that day, that I first didn't see, due to that I went to Jet straight from the dentist, and had a new gold-crone in my mouth, so I was a bit un-aware.

Then it should be enough to make a phone-call.
You don't take any consideration of this, in your e-mail, that I had to go to Walton, not to be put on a course, but simply just to change the course-date.

You don't seem to have any understanding for my complaint.
You answer like you think this is about the inital meeting at JET, which it isn't.
You obviously pretend to be stupid, and pretend not to understand this.

    And for the other complaint.
You write that you don't belive what I'm saying in my complaint.
You don't belive that some called me saying they were you.
    That's inpolite of you.
Please send this complaint to your manager.
And please try to improve your manners, I think you are to inpolite!
    Sincerely,

    Erik Ribsskog

I have considered your comments and complaints

pretending to be me whilst I was out of the office, I simply believe that a

member of staff called, following my instructions to call you about re-booking you

if this has caused you undue worry.

With regards to having to go to Walton, as

I mentioned in my previous e-mail, all newly registered clients are encouraged to

you were urged to visit your appointed guidance officer there. We

appreciate that at times, in order for individuals to gain funding, there are processes

this may seem unnecessary, but we have to adhere to them when we are issuing public

As I mentioned in all former correspondence,
