Average
wrap-up time between calls included in Bertelsmann asDP (staff growt)
programme
At
Bertelsmann Arvato’s Microsoft Scandinavian Product Activation, in
Liverpool, there was being put a lot of focus on average call-time
and wrap-up time between calls, for staff.
(On the expense of
the content of the calls?)
(We were a bit like guinea-pigs, I
think, there.
Collegues has described it as ‘almost like being

And the text in the e-mail with the joke transfers to:
Have you seen this.
(Even if she must have seen that the Somalian girl, Nina Jamma, sent the joke to both me and the later Team-Leader at the same time some weeks earlier).
So I see this as a threat, sent first by the Somalian girl, then by the Norwegian Team-Leader Vivian Steinsland.
Sincerely,

Bertelsmann
team-leader sends sexual harassing e-mails
These
e-mails are from a girl who was a team-leader with line-management
responsibility for around ten people at Bertelsmann Arvato’s
Microsoft Scandinavian Product Activation, in the Cunard Building, in
Liverpool, UK, in 2006.
The one with the bat translates
to ‘The nasty Miss from Bergen says "have a nice weekend
;)"’.
And it has a picture of a bat, which is called
‘flaggermus’, in More..

I’m
sorry, I thought it was funny. I’d give her a promotion to head of
light humor department! I hope you didn’t try to get her fired or
reprimanded for an innocent joke like that… It’d be worse than me
getting fired because the company’s owner’s son told him that I smoke
marijuana… Oh wait no it’d be a lil’ better because I wouldn’t have
to had experienced it v.v Some people are just a*sh*l*s… Not sayin
you are I don’t know you.

I
didn’t think it was funny.
The definition of harassment is
something that’s degrading and unwanted.
And this was
degrading geting sent e-mails of naked butts, and girl-jokes.
And
strange bat-heads.
It would probably have been ok to be sent
the jokes if I had been a girl.
But it’s not ok for girls to
send jokes like that, that makes fun of and degrades men, to men, i
think.
So I’m sure that this must be sexual
harassment.
Sincerely,
Erik Ribsskog

PS.
This
was on top of all the other problems in the Bertelsmann-run company
and on the

And
mouse in Norway is a synonym for ‘c*nt’.
So the picture of the
bat probably means a c*nt that flyes around.
(She had a
boyfriend).
(I only knew this girl from work, and never met
her outside of work).

Well,
don’t
you think it says a bit about Bertelsmann.
This team-leader is
obvioulsly to immature, to have responsibility for people.
I
don’t think people who write cantina like this: ‘CaNTiNa!!!’, should
have manager-responsiblity, because if they write like that, they are
most probably to imature, to have very much people-skills.
Even
if she’s intelligent, I think she should be more mature, to be a
manager.
What does this say about the company?
I’d say,
that it says that something was wrong there, at Bertelsmann Arvato,
when they let a girl, that was immature, manage the Microsoft
Scandinavian Product Activation-campagn, with line-manager
responsibility for around 10 people.
Then they aren’t taking
their employers, who have this manager as a line-manager and
team-leader, seriously.
This is what this tells
me.
Sincerely,
Erik Ribsskog

Nope
just you. Yes, she writes informal emails to her team; that doesn’t
make her a bad manager. In the UK, Vivian can be either a male or
female name. Her use of the ‘Venus’ symbol in her signature is
clearly a disambiguation statement (a nice touch which I haven’t seen
before).
I’m guessing that this is a personal issue (I note
from your CV that you worked there for a while). If so, please don’t
clutter this site by posting rubbish which is of no interest to
anyone but yourself.

Ok,
I
don’t think she should use the Venus-symbol in the company
e-mails.
Only on her spare-time.
This is a summary from
a meeting and shouldn’t be written like it was a child writing
it.
This is a job, that people need for making their living,
not some funny spare-time activity.
Bertelsmann clearly don’t
take their staff seriously, when letting immature girls manage the
campaign.
A position like this, when you have line-manager
responsibility for around ten people, can be compared with being a
manager of a small or medium-sized company, so people should have a
bit life-experience.
She’s obvioulsy naiv, one can see it on
the form she writes the e-mail, she trust blindly in the new Managing
Director, who want’s people to only use one door, (or else people
face disiplinary action).
I have nothing personal against this
girl.
I only know her from work, and I only focused on the
work when I worked there, I needed the job to pay for the rent and
food etc.
This is an atempt to whistle-blow about the problems
in the company.
Sincerely,
Erik Ribsskog
