Stikkord: Smashwords

    https://forum.kvinneguiden.no/topic/1424306-brennpunkt-smiths-venner/page/13/

    PS.

    https://www.lumendatabase.org/notices/660284

    PS 2.

    (Må man vel si).

    Erik Ribsskog

    PS 3.

    Mvh.

    Erik Ribsskog

    PS 2.

(Siden at regjeringen/Husbanken ga meg strøm-støtte, i tillegg, i mars).

    Må man vel si).

    Men men.

    PS 4.

    Men men.

    Må man vel muligens si).

    Må man vel si).

    Men men.

    PS 3.

    Men men.

    PS 4.

    (For mange år siden).

For man må ha skatte-nummer, i USA.

    Men men.

    PS 5.

    Her er mer om dette:

    ein kaos 2

    PS 6.

    Her er mer om dette:

    herodes falsk

    PS 7.

Men Smashwords begynte å pirke, angående bok-coverne.

    Men men.

    PS 8.

    Men men.

    PS 9.

How to Publish and Distribute with Smashwords:

Smashwords is the world’s largest ebook publishing and distribution platform for indie (self-published) authors and small independent publishers.  We wrote the book on indie ebook publishing and distribution, and we’re constantly working to open up new opportunities for our authors to reach more readers.  Come learn why over 140,000 authors and small publishers around the world use Smashwords to publish and distribute over 500,000 original ebooks.  It’s fast, free and easy (especially if you follow our online instructions).

To publish on Smashwords, you must be the original author, or the exclusive digital publisher. Smashwords does not accept public domain books, or books that appear elsewhere on the Internet under other authors’ names (commonly known as Private Label Rights or Master Resale Rights, both of which we delete without warning if we discover them on Smashwords). We also don’t want scammy “get rich quick on the Internet” books.

Visit our How to Publish at Smashwords Page at http://www.smashwords.com/about/how_to_publish_on_smashwords.  Here, you’ll find convenient links to all of the site’s most important resources.

Five Steps to Publish With Smashwords

Here’s a quick summary of the steps you’ll follow to publish and distribute with Smashwords.

    1.  Activate your Smashwords account.  Click the activation hyperlink at the top of this email.

    2.  Prepare your manuscript.  Once your manuscript is ready for publication, you’ll want to format it so it’s ready for upload to Smashwords.  Read the Smashwords Style Guide to learn how to format your book using a word processor, or check out Mark’s List at http://smashwords.com/list if you want to hire a low-cost formatter to do it for you.   If you already have a professionally designed .epub file, you can upload that as well.  If you’re new to ebooks and ebook terminology, check out our glossary of ebook terms in the FAQ.

    3.  Prepare your cover image.  Unlike print books which use three different images for their cover (the front cover, the back cover and the spine), ebooks have only a front cover.  You’ll upload your front cover image as a JPG or PNG image file.  Unless you’re a professional cover designer, it’s best to hire a professional because most homemade covers look amateur.  Books with homemade covers typically don’t sell well.  You want your cover image to look professional.  Professional cover design is affordable, and it’s one of the lowest cost, hightest impact investments you can make in your book.  On Mark’s List you’ll find a selection of low-cost cover designers, most of whom will design ebook covers at prices ranging from $50-$200.  These cover designers are all independent freelancers, so they work for you.  Smashwords doesn’t take a commission or charge them a fee to be on this list.  This keeps their costs lower.  We provide the list as a public service to you.  Be sure to carefully study the online portfolios before hiring a designer.  If you don’t find a designer you absolutely love, ask your writer friends for recommendations.  Learn more about the mechanical requirements for your cover image here:  http://blog.smashwords.com/2012/06/new-ebook-cover-image-requirements.html

    4.  Upload.  Once you have your cover image and your final formatted manuscript, click to “Publish” and follow the step-by-step instructions to upload your book.  You can upload the book for immediate release, or you can schedule the release using our preorder feature.  Books released as preorders typically sell much better than books simply uploaded the day of release.  Learn more about preorders here:  https://www.smashwords.com/preorder

    5.  Published!  Usually within five minutes of upload, your book will be published and visible on the Smashwords home page.  Your book will then be reviewed by the Smashwords vetting team.  We’ll check to ensure your book is formatted to the requirements of the Smashwords Style Guide, and that it adheres the Smashwords Terms of Service.  If your book meets retailer distribution requirements ad described in the Style Guide, we’ll approve it for the Smashwords Premium Catalog, and then your book will immediately start shipping out the Smashwords retailers such as Apple Books, Barnes & Noble and Kobo, and to library partners such as OverDrive.  To see the full distribution network, visit the Smashwords Distribution page at http://smashwords.com/distribution.  To opt in our opt out of specific distribution channels, visit your Dashboard’s Channel Manager page.

How to Market Your Smashwords Book:

Although Smashwords authors hit national bestseller lists each month, the vast majority of authors (whether self-published or traditionally published) do not sell well.  It’s tough to sell books.  Keep your sales expectations low.  It can take months or years to develop a sizable readership.  Smashwords will get your book to most of the major retailer and library platforms, but it’s your responsibility to get out there and market your book.  We’ve created multiple online resources that will teach you the best practices for reaching more readers.  Some of these resources are listed immediately below.

Utilize our Free Sales and Marketing Tools:

Smashwords provides you multiple powerful tools to assist your marketing, sales, distribution and promotions, and all our tools are available to you at no cost.  You’ll find most of these tools in your Smashwords Dashboard.  Check out Smashwords Coupons (create custom coupon codes for promotions), Smashwords Series Manager (increase the discoverability of series titles), Smashwords Preorders (books launched as preorders sell more copies), Smashwords Presales (our patent-pending book launch tool that allows authors to run private and public presales), Smashwords Alerts (your readers can subscribe to receive automated email alerts when you release a new book), Smashwords Interviews (a fun self-interview tool that allows you to share the story behind the author) and much more.

Also check out the free resources below for additional ideas that can make your book more discoverable and more desirable to readers.

View the Slides from Mark Coker’s 6-Hour Master Class

In July 2015, Mark Coker presented a four-part, six-hour series of ebook publishing classes at the 2015 Pacific Northwest Writers Conference in Seattle.  View all the slides from the class here:  http://blog.smashwords.com/2015/07/how-to-publish-ebooks-ebook-publishing.html   The four modules include an introduction to ebook publishing, ebook publishing best practices, the secrets to selling more books in the Apple iBooks store, and how to use ebook preorders to hit the bestseller lists.

The Secrets to Ebook Publishing Success:

The secret to reaching more readers is to learn to think, act and publish like a professional.  The Secrets to Ebook Publishing Success, written by our founder Mark Coker, will teach you the best practice secrets of the most successful indie authors and publishers.  Even if you’re already a pro with decades of publishing experience, you’ll discover fresh new ideas in this book. Sales Reporting:

As soon as our retailers report sales to us, we’ll report sales to you.  All sales in the Smashwords Store are reported instantly.  Check out our Daily Sales tool to track 180 days of sales at-a-glance sales trends across our major retailers.  Check out your Sales & Payments report for more detailed sales reports, where you can download the reports as a spreadsheet.

    Become a Smashwords Affiliate:

Earn commissions simply by hyperlinking to your favorite Smashwords books. Learn more by clicking on the “Account” link from any Smashwords page.  You won’t make a fortune, but it’s a great way to help yourself as you help indie authors.

Review our Author-Friendly Terms of Service

Before you upload, we recommend you read the Smashwords Terms of Service. This is our author-friendly publishing contract, and it also contains instructions on how to maintain your Smashwords account in good standing.  The Terms of Service is written to protect our authors, publishers, retailers and customers. You always maintain control over your book.  You own all the rights.  There are no exclusivity requirements. Authors who violate the Terms of Service may face account termination.

Tips to Get the Most out of Your Smashwords Membership:

    1. Please update your email’s spam filter by placing smashwords.com on your “safe list.” We have a strict no-spam policy.

    2. Most Smashwords books provide generous online samples so you can try before you buy. If you like the sample, please show your appreciation to the author by purchasing their book, reviewing their book, and recommending it to your friends.

    3. No DRM! – Smashwords books are not encumbered by DRM (digital rights management) schemes or copy protection that can interfere with your enjoyment of a book. This means you can read your Smashwords book on any device you choose. It also means our authors and publishers are trusting you to honor their hard work by not illegally copying or sharing the book. Please remember that when you purchase a book, it is licensed for your personal enjoyment only, and cannot be sold to, or shared with, anyone else. If you want to give the book to others, please purchase an extra copy for each person so the author and publisher can receive their fair compensation.

    4. How to read Smashwords books: Most of our ebooks are available in multiple reading formats. Once you purchase an ebook, you’ll find a link to it in your Smashwords Library.  You can read the books online using our online readers, or you can download ebook files formatted for different ebook readers or for at-home printing. To learn how to download a book to your Kindle, Nook, iPhone, Android phone or other e-reading device, click here: http://www.smashwords.com/about/supportfaq#Kindle

    5. Smashwords is always adding new features to serve you.  We welcome your feedback related to usability, interface flow, features and function. Your feedback helps us improve Smashwords for readers and authors alike. At the top of every page of the site, there’s a message link, denoted by the “?” icon, where you can share your suggestions.

    6. Smashwords is an online service. There is no software to install on your computer, unless you want to download an e-reading app to read ebooks on your computer.  Learn more here: https://www.smashwords.com/about/supportfaq#readonPC

    7. How to publish on Smashwords: Smashwords allows an author or publisher to upload a single Microsoft Word .doc file that we then automatically convert into multiple DRM-free ebook formats. Authors can also upload their own professionally-designed .epub files.  Prior to publishing your own book, you should read The Smashwords Style Guide which provides tips to help you get the best conversion results.

    8. Privacy: You’re in complete control over how your information is presented on the site. We’ll never sell or rent your contact information to third parties. Want to publish under a pen name? No problem.

    9. Won’t you take a moment to invite your friends to join the Smashwords community? Every new author and reader enriches the Smashwords community to the benefit of authors and readers alike.

    ——————-More Background on Smashwords ——————————–

We’re excited about the opportunity digital books present to the world’s readers, authors and publishers. For centuries, books have remained the gold standard for information dissemination, knowledge sharing and storytelling. Books have shaped the course of mankind.

But traditional paper-based book publishing has its limitations – book printing and publishing is expensive, so book publishers are unable to publish all written works, and even if they could publish all written works, the vast majority of literate people in the world cannot afford them. Print books are simply too expensive when you consider that 86% of the world’s population earns an annual income of less than $10,000 ( http://www.whartonsp.com/articles/article.asp?p=404802 ) versus the $30,000-$50,000 typical in the US, Asian and most European countries. Over one billion of the world’s roughly 6.5 billion inhabitants subsist on less than $1 a day. Paper books are simply too expensive for most of the world.

By moving books into the digital realm, we can dramatically change the economics of book publishing, while at the same time making great books available to people of all economic backgrounds from around the world.

Smashwords returns up to 85% (and sometimes more) of net proceeds from the sale of each book back to the author or publisher. This means that an author who might otherwise earn a per copy royalty of 40 cents by publishing a $7.95 mass market paperback can make three times as much per copy by selling the ebook on Smashwords for $2.00 (a 75% lower cost). Smashwords economics creates a virtuous cycle: By pricing books low, Smashwords authors will expand the potential audience for their books while at the same time increasing their per-copy income.  The average book at Smashwords is under $4.00.

Of course, some Smashwords authors price their books at FREE, and we allow this.

Thank you again for joining the Smashwords community. If you appreciate our free service, won’t you please tell a friend?

When you’re ready to purchase a book, click on the shopping cart icon on the upper right side of the page. You can then continue shopping to add more books to your cart, or you can complete the purchase by providing payment information. We accept most major credit cards and PayPal.  All purchases are final, so please download a free sample before making your purchase.

If you’re redeeming a free coupon for a book, you’ll enter the coupon on the very first page you see after you click the shopping cart.  For free books, there’s no need to enter your credit card information!

    How to Read Your Ebook

After you complete a purchase, we’ll email you a purchase confirmation. Return to your Smashwords Library, where you’ll find links to your purchased book. Once a book is purchased, you can immediately download the book in any or all of the available formats, as often as you like.

For more help on how to read our books, or download to your Kindle/Kindle Fire/iPad/iPhone/Sony Reader/Nook/etc, visit https://www.smashwords.com/about/supportfaq#Reading

    Erotica Filtering

Smashwords respects your book discovery preferences.  Our erotica filtering controls help you manage which types of books appear on the Smashwords home page and in your search results.  Registered users can choose to block all erotica, or can opt to view only mainstream erotica, or view all erotica including taboo erotica.  Click “Filtering” on the Smashwords home page to control your preferences.

No problem.

If you appreciate our free service, won’t you please tell a friend?

    https://www.linkedin.com/in/erik-ribsskog-45586a6

    PS.

    – Osv., osv.

    Så sånn er det.

    Bare noe jeg tenkte på.

    Men men.

    PS 4.

    Men men.
